Opera Accessibility Statement

Opera is actively working to increase the accessibility and usability of our websites and is committed to ensuring that they are accessible to all, regardless of ability or technology.

We hope to bring all our websites up to at least Level Double-A of the W3C’s Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0, the new standard for accessibility of web content. From time to time, we will publish more about how well we are meeting that goal.

Our sites have been built using code compliant with W3C standards for HTML5 and CSS and should display correctly in current browsers. Using standards-compliant code means any browser can display sites correctly.

Opera strives to have the highest possible level of accessibility and usability; however, sometimes we do not meet our goals in all areas of the website. In particular, we are aware of current issues in ensuring accessibility of user-generated content in my.opera.com, and we are working on upgrading our video content.

If you have any problems accessing our pages, the Opera browser has features that can help you. For information about some of these features, see our Opera Tips and Tutorials page. Alternatively, visit our online Help: While using Opera, select Opera Help from the Help menu. For the desktop browser, press F1 (or Command+? for Mac). The BBC’s My Web My Way also provides advice on how to access content for various browsers and operating systems.

We continually work to improve our overall accessibility. If you have a question or comment specifically about web accessibility, please contact us by emailing accessopera@opera.com. For all other questions about Opera, we suggest you refer to our support page or discuss issues with the Opera community on the forums.
